Across the entire Navy enterprise, the Navy Housing Service Centers (HSCs) and privatized housing partners are preparing for the annual housing survey. The Resident Satisfaction Survey (RSS) is a Commander, Navy Installation Command (CNIC) program that is used to measure the quality of homes and services provided to Service members and their families.
The annual surveys have been mailed to residents in Navy family housing (both government owned and privatized). Unaccompanied housing residents will receive surveys in the next few weeks. The Navy asks residents to provide feedback on their Navy Housing experience.
The RSS measures all aspects of customer satisfaction with Navy Housing, including customer service, the condition of family and unaccompanied housing, and other provided amenities such as loaner furnishings and the use of housing community centers.
Navy Housing encourages all residents to not only answer the survey, but to provide comments on particular issues that have been addressed and where we can do better.
“Navy Housing is dedicated to providing the best customer service experience to Service members and their families,” said Michael Alfano, Navy Housing RSS Program Manager. “Our mission is to assist our customers with finding suitable, affordable, and safe housing wherever they choose to live. I encourage all residents to complete the survey to assist future Service members and their families who will be living in the same housing .”
The RSS is also used to target funding for facility and amenity improvements. The data provided in the RSS is used to create baselines of use for amenities and facilities provided at Navy Housing worldwide.
Service members living in family housing should return their surveys before October 23. The family housing survey can be completed by mail or online at the link provided in the survey.
Unaccompanied housing surveys should be returned before 13 November, via the mail.
